Long & Foster: Real Estate, All in One Place

Long & Foster is an American real estate company founded in 1968 in Fairfax, Virginia. Its agents help people buy, sell and rent homes, and the company also offers mortgage, title, insurance, inspection, moving and property management services.

Buying a home means dealing with many companies at once. Long & Foster sells the opposite: one place for the whole move. The website had to make that promise visible from the first screen.

Buy, rent or sell, then type an address

The home page opens with a warm photograph and a search box that asks one question first: buy, rent or sell. Then it takes an address, city, state, zip code or MLS number. Under the box, a small link asks what your home is worth, for the owners who are only thinking about selling. With the Love Spell we gave the brand’s navy and coral this calm, almost editorial look, closer to a magazine than a listings portal.

A map that does the searching

The property search puts a map and the results side by side. Listings appear as price pins, the visitor can draw an area on the map, and the cards on the right show the price, status, address, bedrooms, bathrooms and size. A save search button keeps the hunt going after the tab is closed, and a mortgage card in the results reminds buyers to get pre approved.

All inclusive, explained in tabs

The all inclusive services are the company’s edge, so they get a section of their own with tabs for buyers, sellers, renters and investors. Each service, from real estate and mortgage to title, insurance, inspection and moving, opens a short explanation with a Learn More button.

Luxury homes get a different voice. A section on Forbes Global Properties explains how premium listings reach an international audience, with large interior photography and plenty of space. The Creation Spell keeps the map, the listing cards and the saved searches quick on every screen.

Someone looking for a home, a mortgage and a moving company can now find all three on one site, starting from a single search box.
